I had my lumpy bumps as I like to call them checked over by a doctor last week been getting a lot of pain in left breast all the way down to my elbow the pain went this time! The doc said it felt a bit lumpy but no definitive lump but would refer me anyway and ring the consultant surgeon at my hospital breast clinic. That was last wednesday, this morning I got a phonecall to offer me an appointment on this Thursday at 8.35am for a checkup, which shocked me as its so quick normally I have to wait couple of weeks.
Anyway this is the 3rd time I have had problems, my last check ups, ultrasounds etc showed nothing and it was down to hormonal problems so I am crossing fingers its the same thing again.

received the confirmation letter today which was actually typed out last friday before they phoned me for an appointment so not a cancellation as me and my mum thought it might be. Still less time to worry I guess, hope I sleep tonight!
Good luck for tomorrow. Fingers and toes crossed for you that it turns out to be nothing. Most lumps turn out to be benign but you are doing right to get it checked out xx

Well after about 30mins sleep I had to get to the hospital for 8.30am which turned out to be a good thing as I was first to be seen in breast clinic and ultrasound.
Not too happy with the doctor I saw really, I found her quite patronising and not very helpful and she made me feel that I shouldnt be there and wasting her time! Felt quite upset when I came out!
They didnt have my old notes from when I was there in 2006/7 so I had to try and remember all the details of what happened there before and all the ins and outs of why I was admitted (“its very unusual to be admitted suddenly because of a lump” she said well im not the doctor and they admitted me so who I am to question a breast conusltant?!!)
anyway, she told me to go for an ultrasound and they checked both breasts, no cysts (thankfully) just some thickening on the left one as I thought. Probably hormonal, my Gp has to sort that out as she doesnt deal with that kind of thing.
Argh sorry for the rant, I just feel like they keep telling me its hormonal all the time but not doing anything to help me so I dont feel any happier today than I did yesterday, as I still have the pain, i still cant sleep on that side and evening primrose oil isnt helping me.
Sorry for whinging when i really have no cause to with what most of you are going through, just an experience with an unsympathetic doctor can really get to you.
