Here we go again !!!!

Hi I had breast cancer 9 years ago dealt with it pushed it to the back of my mind and got on with my life. I have now been told after a routine mammogram it has returned in my other breast. Ultersound showed up 2 lumps close to each other and another towards the side of my breast. The doctor took biopsys of all the areas and also biopsied the lymph node as it looked inlarged.

When we sat down to discuss what she had seen, I was told the 2 lumps look very suspicious and as I no from before this means cancer. What I am unclear about is the other area, she said she was not sure so will have to wait for the results. She also said the lymph node didnt look abnormal but was enlarged. Surely if they dont look suspicious like the others why would she be concered. Has anyone else had a simular thing as this? I am so rubish at waiting for results, as before once I new what I was dealing with I can deal with it and get on with it. Now I am just panicing it has gone into lymph nodes and I am going to have chemo again. I can deal with and op and rads but not chemo again.

Hi Suzie,
So sorry to hear you’re back here again.
I’m only 2 years post diagnosis, but wanted to acknowledge your post.
Well, I think we’ all ‘rubbish’ at waiting for results & as ever, it’s always the uncertainty that is the pits to deal with.
Sending hugs
