a worried lady
I know it’s hard, but try to to worry too much. Just keep your mind on other things. It could be a cyst or something. If it is is cancer, then there is so much they can do. Your GP is referring you, so it should get sorted soon.
Quite a few young women are on this forum. Perhaps they could give you more advice. (I’m an oldie at 53).
Hi moocow27
Welcome to the BCC discussion forums, you’ve come to the right place for some good support as the users here have a wealth of experience and knowledge between them.
I have put for you below the link to one of BCC’s publications which you may find useful before your visit to the breast clinic. Do remember though as bluebird says, the majority of breast problems are not breast cancer, but it’s always best to get these checked out professionally. Here’s the link:
Also, if you need to talk to someone in confidence then please do phone the helpline, the staff are here to support you. Calls are free, 0808 800 6000 lines open M-F 9-5 and Sat 9-2.
Take care,

Hi Moocow27
Take alot of comfort in knowing that you have done the right thing - going to the doctors. Believe me when I say that this will be the most challenging wait for you. But you’ll find that the time flies between now and going to the clinic. You certainly sound as though you’ve got lots to keep you busy - a husband AND 3 children ![]()
One of the things that I reminded myself of every morning when I woke up (during my waiting time) was that, if there is something untoward going on - I’m now taking control of it. If you’re feeling down, or want to get angry and shout, do it on here. Sadly, the majority of the wonderful and inspirational ladies on here know exactly what you’re going through.
You’ll be amazed at how supportive everyone around you will be at this time. Keep going and try not to worry too much.
Really hope you get some good news.
