Hi there, I’m seventeen years old and concerned. I found a lump about two weeks ago and have experienced symptoms that suggest BC. I know that it’s rare for my age, but I’m still so worried! I have a hospital appointment tomorrow, but am scared that they’re gonna make me wait for a further appointment to have tests and then another one for results! It’s really gotten me down recently, just because of the thought of leaving my loved ones behind. I have a lovely boyfriend who I’ve been with for nearly two years, wonderful parents and the most precious siblings and friends.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that after reading some of the posts on here, you’re all so brave for dealing with this incredibly frustrating and complex disease. You’re all wonderful!

Hi,
I would just like to say I hope that your tests went well! It would be extremely rare to get BC at 17, I got it at 22 and that was a shock for everyone as I was so young. I hope that your testa have all gone ok and am very sure that you have nothing to worry about.

Hi there SAtcfan 1992
Breast cancer at 21 is incredibly rare, so fingers crossed it isn’t that. I hope your tests went well. If it was breast cancer, though, perhaps take heart from all the good success stories you here on this site. My husbands boss was diagnosed at the age of 36, she is now in her 50s and doing fine. She’s been an inspiration for me (I’m 37 and just diagnosed).
Anyway, best of luck to you
