Hello
Not sure it’s all sunk in but I have triple negative breast cancer. I start chemo next week. Very scary. Haven’t told my kids yet. Would love to chat. Sarah

Hi Sarahmummy, welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear your news. I remember vividly the day I found out I had breast cancer. It was 4th September last year. It is really scary but with good support you will get through this. I had hormone sensitive breast cancer and had surgery to remove the lump then chemo and radio. I am now on Tamoxifen for 5 years. My wee boy had just turned 7 when I found out. Not sure what ages your kids are. But we had to explain it all to him in simple terms that he would understand. He has coped with it really well. I’m doing ok now but stuggling a bit with the side effects of the tablets.
Hope that you get through it ok and just take one step at a time. It’s a long journey and there will be ups and downs but hopefully more good days than bad.
Good luck.
