Well negative newbie isnt actually true.
I’m 51 and have just been diagnosed with triple negative to my left breast, just waiting for a lymph node biopsy as one of the little things is inflamed and a Ct and then it will be chemo followed by surgery.
I’m not at newbie because almost 20 yrs ago to the day, i was diagnosed at 31 with a triple negative to my right breast, i had a lumpectomy and ANC followed by chemo and radio. And then all clear until now. So i suppose that’s a sucess story.
Anyway it will be great to get support and info along the journery this time. X

Hello and welcome to the group. So sorry to hear you’re going through this again, the positives I suppose are that treatments are so different now and have come on a long way.
I was diagnosed last year, and my mum 20 years earlier, so I know the treatment we had was different.
I got a lot of support from the group and my calling the Breast Cancer Now nurses when I had medical worries, so I hope you find the same.
Sorry I can’t be more helpful as I was hormone positive so unsure of the treatments you will have but I’m sure your team are on it.
Good luck with your treatment xx

hi @flossie731
I’m sorry to hear about your recurrence - I hope you have a good support system at home/with friends, and of course the forum is here for you too!
I was diagnosed with triple negative in 2023 at 32 years old, and it may seem silly to say this as you are going through your recurrence, but it almost feels really reassuring to me to know that you have been able to go 20 years before this has happened, so thank you for sharing this with us
of course in an ideal world this wouldn’t happen to any of us, but I have to say I’ve met so many lovely, supportive people through all this, that I’m “glad” there is at least some positives amongst all the chaos.
How are you feeling in general? Fingers crossed for your CT and lymph node biopsy - I did have lymph node involvement but the treatment plan was the same either way, so please don’t worry too much
