Hi new here and told to prepare... scared!

Hi, noticed a mass and dimpling of my left breast on holiday 2 weeks ago.  I have had cysts previously and this doesn’t feel like a cyst… I went to see my GP and they have fast tracked me to hospital, my appointment is on Thursday (24th) but they have also told me to prepare for the worst as they don’t think its a cyst either… they have advised me to visit Cancer Active of which I have done and already started to change my diet in readiness for any bad news…

I am a fit person anyway, eat healthy and go to gym/run 6 days a week… However, I’m scared and I don’t know what to do/expect/say/feel?

Hello and welcome to the forum.  You will get loads of help and support on here from the lovely ladies who know exactly what you are going through.

At the moment you do not know what you are dealing with so try to keep to what you do know, you have a mass and it is going to be investigated at your appointment on Thursday, which although it feels a long time away it is close now. Try not to think too far ahead.

I would stay away from generally googling as there is a lot of out of date and misinformation on there which will only scare you and add to your anxiety.

We are all here for you henever you need us.  Let us know how you get on if you want to.

Sending you hugs

Hi and welcome. I also have my clinic appointment on Thursday. I’ve had a four week wait and have found following these forums a godsend. On here you will get solid advice from ladies who know. So far I have been quite calm but today I’m having a real wobble. I keep getting upset over silly things. Everyone on here says waiting is the worst. It helps to keep busy and stay off google it’s only a few more days.
