Hi new to forum

Hi im 58 I was due to go for breast reduction in April but hadva mammogram prior 2 days before operation they called to tell me found DCIS went to have that removed only to find 8mm cancer all removed.

Told very unlikely they would find cancer then another op to remove lymph nodes again thought if i woke up amd found only 2 missing i was lucky and not going to need chemo.

Im now waiting on oncotype results as unsure if i need chemo.

Im stage 1 grade 3 with k27 score 58%.

Clear lymph nodes and hormore positive

Her 2 negative so dome good outcomes .

I will be having radiation and hormone tablet.

On the fence for chemo im going crazy as only 2% extra throwing in chemo which im struggling with as having chemo is going to damage me inside and out for 2% and if i have floaters.

Feel im going crazy and sorry for rant. X

Hiyer Pommy, welcome to the forum.

I can relate to your predicament as had the same myself (although I was 47 years old, but same diagnosis stats except tumour a bit larger at 1.5 cm). I wasn’t offered oncotype in the end so had to make a ‘psychological decision’ based on that 2 % (possible) difference. My BCN and Onc were supportive in either direction, and gave me the choice of chemo.

I hope you find it useful being here, and look forward to seeing you around. x
