Just had a question that need to be answered. If you have high grade DCIS diagnosed on biospy, then if you have a masectomy and invasive cancer is found would that mean its high grade aswell. Or is it different?.
Just worried as due to have masectomy and this question is going round in my mind.

I was DX with high grade DCIS last Dec and I had the same concern as you. I had a MX in Feb (had BC 12/13yrs ago so I was told that there was no other option) and there was 4mm of invasive cancer in the 1.3cm of DCIS. This was grade 2. I am now having monthly Zoladex injections to put me in the change and taking Arimidex tablets daily as the cancer was oestrogen positive 8/8.
