I know that you can get joint pain from a lack of oestrogen, but would the joint pain be when moving around?
When I was on zoladex and tamoxifen I used to get occasional minor pains in my right hip. I have now had my ovaries removed, still on tamoxifen, and find this pain is getting worse. But its only when I am sitting still. Is this normal for the joint pain from tamox and the menopause, or is it something I should be worried about?
Thanks!
Hi Lolly,
I am sure you know there can be many reasons for pain in your hip - which can be referred pain from spine problems. I think because you have cancer it is best to tell your oncologist about the pain and let him make sure there is nothing to worry about there. It isn’t easy once we have cancer and the way all these drugs interfere with our bodies doesn’t help either but we just have to remain aware. Hope you find it is something a few more pain meds sort out
