Holiday skin care after treatment

Advice needed please - I am going to Turken mid September and wanted to ask if anyone could recommend a good factor 50 sun cream and if it should be waterproof or not ? I had radiotherapy for 4 weeks and by the time of my holiday I will be 7 weeks post zapping and doing well.

Thanks in advance, Anita

I would definitely recommend a water resistant sun lotion because it keeps you protected when swimming and also when you are perspiring in the heat.  There are a number of good ones and it usually comes down to personal preference on the smell and feel of each lotion.

One of my favourites is Banana Boat Ultra Defense which is very water resistant, AvoTriplex High UVA and UVB.  It contains Aloe Vera and Vitamins A and E.  Plus, it is recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation.

Have a lovely holiday.

Hi Anita, I went to Menorca in July 3 weeks after my rads finished and used a 50 factor for kids, it’s was great and didn’t have any issues at all, I smothered my boob and surrounding area before putting on bikini and topped it up throughout the day, it was 40 degrees and I didn’t burn one bit! Have a lovely time in Turkey :sunny::sunny:

thank you for your guidance, very helpful xxx

Hi Anita, I used piz buin allergy sesitive f50 all over the area, I also wore a very lightweight scarf which I drapped over boob, shoulder and neck. I went to menorca only 3 weeks post rads and was fine.

Used loads of e45 cream and 99.9% aloe vera gel to cool. Have fun
