Holiday travel Insurance

Hi, can anyone help with a holiday travel insurance who will insure me now after being diagnosed with BC in Sept 2021. Early stage grade 1, ER+ HER2- . Had successful lumpectomy and nodes in Nov and came back all clear.  Had 5 days of Rads and now on Tamoxifen.

Is it only certain companies that will now insure me?

Many thanks

CB

I had similar diagnosis not had problems getting holiday insurance since with mainstream companies . Last time we went away ( few years ago due to Covid ) I got insurance through the post office .

insurancewith are a company that specialise in insuring people with medical conditions including cancer .

If you go on comparethemarket.com when you start your quote a box pops up asking if there have been any cancer diagnoses…if you click yes they go on to ask in more detail…I have had primary BC 3 times …,my quote this year was 80£ for myself and partner for a years insurance to Europe so I’m sure you will find lots of suitable quotes…the further you are from your diagnosis , the price drops…for example, this time last year I was less than a year out of active treatment , therefore it was more expensive.

Happy Holidays

I checked out numerous options - including looking at specialist insurers.  But for me, similar to yourself, I found a mainstream insurer was accepting and cheapest: I used Staysure

I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but it’s great to hear that your treatment has been successful so far. When it comes to travel insurance after a breast cancer diagnosis, it’s true that not all companies may offer coverage. However, there are specialized insurance providers that cater to individuals with pre-existing medical conditions, including cancer.

I used Insurancewith for an unexpected holiday a few weeks after finishing treatment in 2021. I had Stage 2, Er+ & HER+ BC with no nodes affected. I’d had lumpectomy, chemotherapy & radiotherapy. We got annual European cover with them. In 2022 they were not as competitive on price, but we did want annual world wide cover included USA. I was and still
am taking Anastrazole.

Additionally, I found an article at https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/top-5-medical-billing-audit-services-2024-review-josh-souders-ilvbc/ that may be helpful to you. It discusses the top 5 medical billing audit services for 2024, which could be useful in navigating your medical expenses.
