I have a c.t scan on friday afer having 2 cycles of carboplatin. I had 2 cycles of navelbine and my bl***y lumps carried on growing and my onc chose to change me to carbo and after having the 2 cycles i am now waiting for my c.t scan on friday.
I will get my results on tues 24th ( my 37th birthday )
I knew last time after the navelbine I knew it had carried on growing and could feel the difference. This time I think my lumps have got smaller but can’t believe this as I don’t want anyone to rain on my parade as they say!!
I so want some good news and the people that can relate to this the most apart from my hubby ( who is great ) is the ladies on here who to unfortunatly are also going thru this horrible waiting time.
I am really sorry for rambling but I never know if to post or not as I don’t want to upset ladies who are getting bad news at this time as well. so I apologise if I upset anyone. SORRY
Just wishing you all the very best with your scan results - that would be the best present you could get! Take care, and come and moan here if you like, because if there is one thing we do understand - it is the nightmare of waiting…for…results…
Lisa - please don’t apologise for posting. We are all individuals and our cancers all act differently. I can’t see why your post should upset anyone. You have a right to give us news and we alll understand the axiety of waiting for results and most of us have had had experience of chemo failing. It is so owrrying and upsetting. It’s awful waiing as well for results.
Really hope you get good results especcially as it is your birthday

You have come to the right place as we all know how scary but how important scans are when we’re having treatment. All the cr@p you’re going through you’d like to know if it’s working wouldn’t you? Please don’t apologise about posting on here, we are all in the same boat one way or the other and do understand what you’re dealing with. I hope the scan goes well (yuk, the horrible drink - ‘smoothie’ my ass!) and the results come back showing that the chemo is working for you. I see you don’t have to wait too long for your results - that’s when I get scared Let’s hope you get a good birthday present from your onc. Fingers crossed and please let us know how you get on.

Fingers crossed that the carbolplatin does the trick, Lisa. It’s horrible how we feel that we may tempt fate by uttering the slightest word about feeling better, or if we notice an improvement in how we feel.

I think, well in my case whenever I feel it has worked, it has, if I am feeling better, it usually is because I am. So fingers crossed it will be really good news and reflect on how you are feeling.
As I am one of the ones who is having it a bit rough at the moment, I can assure you that it lifts my heart when I read a ‘happy post’ Just because I am in the .hit it does not mean I need company. I would much rather fly solo when it is not good and fly in a fleet when it is. If you get my drift!

I think this is the best place to voice our opinions good or bad as you all say and it’s nice to have so many peope who understand ( even if I would give anything for none of us to be here )
