Hi,
I’m 41, no family history of bc. I went to the drs last week as I had noticed my left breast had become considerably bigger than my right. Now I dont have periods as im on depo injection but has never happened before. I can’t feel any lumps, and neither could dr. She could feel thickening however in breast. I have been referred with 2ww. Dr feels it is most likely hormonal but obviously can’t be sure.
Just after other people’s experiences please…my logical head says that I have gone to dr asap, and that it is out of my control now, and that I have few risk factors. My overthinking head….that’s another matter altogether….runs away with me completely.
If you go this far, thanks

I don’t know if this will help, but many years ago a wise friend of mine told me, “It’s not a thing until it’s a thing.”
Worrying is unavoidable, but also not useful. You’re doing everything right to finding out the answer - whatever it is or isn’t won’t be changed in the meantime no matter what you do right now. And in the meantime: it’s not a thing until it’s a thing.
Sending you hugs x

Hi RayJay1
I feel for you as I have just been on this journey. Firstly, you have done the right thing and gone and got it looked at. I am hoping it will be something harmless for you but you won’t know until they take a look likely through imaging.
In my case I noticed that one breast was smaller than the other and had some dimpling. My diagnosis is of Lobular Cancer which is a slow moving type.
My advice to you is to keep calm and carry on through the process. When you get the results you will have a clearer idea of what is happening.
Thanks so much for replying. I actually really like that advice
and I’m going to try my best to take that with me over the next week and a bit.
Xx
