Hi Everyone, I just wanted to ask about hormone receptor results did anyone have after diagnosis for high grade DCIS? I am waiting for my results after single mastectomy 4 weeks ago. I have already been advised to reduce my HRT until I get all the results back.
Hi @mitch2 , as four weeks have passed it might be worthwhile getting in touch with your hospital to chase up your follow up as I had an appointment two weeks after my mastectomy surgery to discuss my results but I already knew I was hormone negative and her2 positive .
It’s correct you should reduce your hrt on the meantime until
You get your results x if you don’t have any joy trying to get in touch with your clinic, try getting in touch with your breast nurse

Hi, I got my hormone receptor results for High Grade DCIS - ER Negative, HER2 positive. been advised to come off HRT and start a small does of Tamoxifen, very confused about this. Seeing Consultant to discuss further in a few weeks. Has anyone else experienced similar results?

@mitch2 , interesting they are advising tamoxifen if you are ER negative? Maybe speak to your breast nurse about that ?
I am her2 positive and needed chemo in order to receive the targeted therapy of herceptin, has these been mentioned?

Hi . I got my hormone results after first surgery for high grade dcis (needed 2nd surgery for close margins) wide local incision. Was told needed to reduce hrt and then come off. I was offered hormone therapy but declined but did need 5 days radiotherapy . My hormone receptive was er 6 and p 5.
