Hose pipe ban and blue badge

Hi just wanted to let anyone know that if you are a blue badge holder you can still use the hose pipe you have to call and fill out a form Laura

Thanks for posting that Laura - although I do find it somewhat bizarre. I guess the logic is because with limited mobility, you can’t reasonably be expected to trek up and down the garden fifty times carrying heavy buckets of water…

But you know, I do wonder why we need hosepipes at all, it’s not like we are in Ethiopia. All I have to do to make it rain, is to put my washing outside. Or book a holiday.

Lol yes and me everytime I book a hol it rains weird really as if you had a bad mobilty prob you wldnt be able to wash a car anyway least it’s there if we want it

Potential for income generation: washing the neighbours’ cars?? or allowing them to do the heavy work* while you stand there and water them liberally from a safe distance.

*sorry, I’m not very clued up about car-washing. I though it came free with the MOT every year. You know, in hairdressers the newbie sweeps the floor all day, in garages the newbie washes all the cars…

Laura, I’m astonished. How did you find out? Would never occur to me that a blue badge would give such exemptions. Almost feel like having an extra big bath to celebrate!
