How can I get a bra post mastectomy/reconstruction to fit old and new very uneven boobs?

Hi All,

I’m sure this has no doubt been asked before but I’m confused as to which bra will provide support and protection for me post-mastectomy s I’m having a left breast mastectomy with DIEP flap reconstruction. My left breast will be approx 36c and my remaining one will be 36G. How do I get one that will fit both as I understand I can’t put ‘fillers’ into my reconstructed side surely, yet it will need good safe support?

Seems an impossibility. Have any others in this forum managed this and found an answer?

Hi ollies,  this is quite a popular one (see link below) and you should get a filler from your nurse before you leave hospital so you can balance it up.  You can take time to pick more bras later but this should keep you going in a balanced fashion to begin with and is very comfortable.
