Here at Breast Cancer Care we are constantly trying to improve our services for people affected by breast cancer.
We know that our website is an essential source of information and support for many people, but we also acknowledge that there is room for improvement.
We are currently working with a research agency to try and identify how people try to access information relevant to their experience of being affected by breast cancer, i.e. the sort of language and terminology that they feel most comfortable with.
To help find this out, we have created a basic ‘card-sorting’ exercise, which you can access from the link below. Once you have completed the exercise you can submit your email to be entered into a prize draw to win £50 worth of Amazon vouchers.
The exercise should only take you about twenty minutes and is interesting to take part in, more than that it will really influence how we develop our site to best suit your needs. Full and clear instructions are included when you follow the link below.
Please note: If you are taking part in one of our group sessions in London or Sheffield, you should not take part in this exercise, as you will be doing a similar task during the session itself.

Hi there
One thing would be to flag up personally bookmarked comments/discussions as you enter the web forum? Or can you do this and I’m not looking in the right place?

Hi Cecelia
Thank you for your feedback. I will see if this is possible.

Hi,
Would it be possible to include the date that a forum topic was started. I often find myself reading forums that were started quite a while earlier, which has had replies but because of one being recent they are ar the top of the index.
Also when is spelling check going to work?
You are all doing a great job, keep it up.
Take care & best wishes
Jan
Not sure if it just me having the problem but the page jumps and takes me back to the start without me doing anything at all!
Certainly to be able to return to bookmarked threads would be such a benefit. Many of the discussions just get lost because users have no way of easily refinding discussions they have previously been involved in. Great forum though, but this little improvement I am sure will make a great deal of difference to many users. Also, I would love to see another category, something along the lines of Moving On. I realise people who aren’tcurrently undergoing treatment, or effected quite so much on a daily basis by breast cancer, tend not to contribute to the forum, but there must be some way of getting so really positive Moving On type stories to give us all much needed inspiration.
Thanks
Myras
