Just wondering how long most people wait to get the results of a mammogram. I had my first annual one on Monday and when I asked, was told that it could be 4-6 weeks until I got the results… if there was anything needing further investigation, I could be called sooner… so I suppose “no news is good news”! But, it is going to be such a long time waiting, especially as it’s the first one post-treatment. I was diagnosed this time last year, so the memories are still a bit too clear…

I had my first annual mammo done a couple of weeks ago. I was originally supposed to have it end of April but couldnt make the date, so I went into the clinic after my Herceptin to make a new one. the receptionist was so brill she actually asked if they could do it there and then! So they did which was great because I had none of the worry of the build up towards it. I was told I would probably find out at my next clinic appointment which was in about 3 weeks. However, I received the news that it was normal exactly one week after I had it by post. So all in all a pretty good experience really.
