I had my WLE nearly a month ago. Luckily got clear margins so no further surgery. Breast still bruised and swollen and nipple rubbery. When can I expect it to be normal again? Rebecca x

I shall be watching replies here with interest as I’m only two weeks post op but my breast is getting more painful by the day. I’m seeing the surgeon tomorrow so will let you know what she says. Funnily enough the scar doesn’t hurt as its still quite numb but the remainder of my breast and nipple is so sore.

Since I wrote this today my boob has swelled and is red hot and painful. Seeing nurse tomorrow at 9. Not sure if seroma or infection.

My armpit was swollen at that time too but it did go down. I think yours will too try not too worry too much your body will absorb the fluid. Not so good news with my boob infection Bern on antibiotics a week hasn’t cleared up now on two different types one are strictly no alcohol just my luck to be on those Christmas week! Rebecca x
So do I it’s so annoying everything was healing well. No alcohol bit gutting but have no boozy plans over Xmas anyway - will be driving on Christmas Day. X
