Hi jo,
i know what you are feeling. My mum died when I was 24, she was 62. She had thyroid cancer when I was 2 years of age and she was told that she would not live long. In fact my sister and I went to say goodbye to my mother in guys hospital. I was told this as obviously I was too young to remember. The fact is, my mother did not die, she lived for another 20 years, albeit with a permanent tracheostomy, but nevertheless she was alive, so doctors are not always right. I myself now have breast cancer, and I now know the fear which my mother must have felt. I am 2 years post diagnosis and treatments, but hope to go on like my mother did. X
