Hi ladies,
Just wondering how long after having a bone scan to check for secondaries you had to wait?? am 3mths post treatment…mx/chemo/rads, having a few problems so onc decided to do bone scan and ct scan (ct scan this sat) had bone scan last thurs, not sure if they will phone me?? or write?? and how long it will be!!! each day feels like a week!!!

I am in the same position - finished chemo and Rads and at first follow up review have been referred for a bone scan. I have appt on 6 December and I got the impression that I will not get the results until my next appt with Onc which is February! I cannot wait that long and I will speak to my BCN to see whether she can give me the results before then. x

Thats sounds ridiculous!! how can they expect you to wait that long, even waiting a week or two seems like hell!! definately talk to your bcn, hopefully she can push things for you xx
Hey Girls, I have found all hospitals vary - I did have to wait about a month for my results - it wasnt good news in my case and my GP rang and asked to pop round so there was a bit of a clue there! Try not to worry - my bone mets were stable for nearly two years - sadly a tumor has just been found on my spine and I am waiting to hear how they are going to treat that - rads or an op or both - will take whatever is needed to keep me here! I hope you all hear good news very soon xx Debbie xx

Just moved to a different area so hospital notes all over the place!! not sure if previous onc will contact me…thats where i had scan done! or will hear from hosp/doc here!.. more waiting i suppose, dont even know who to contact, my ct scan is at my new hospital this sat, but havent even met my new bc onc yet!

Definitely chase this with BCN. Cons. secretary etc… Just had my bone and MRI scans today and will get results on Friday thank god… Good luck and hugs-know how u feel xxxxx
Will be a week tomorrow so maybe il give them a ring, not sure if they’ll say anything over the phone…unless its good news, fingers crossed!!

Heard back today about my bone scan, they said results inconclusive… want me to go back in 3mths for re-scan!!! is this usual?? i also had a ct scan today which they want to look at as well (ct was to check my lungs and liver etc) but they’re looking at bones on that to, i feel like i should be very pleased as wasn’t a definate bone mets but still feel in limbo…like im still waiting for an answer!! has anyone else had to wait like this?? im seeing onc again on 8th dec to discuss all results, so i will ask him then why a re-scan!!

Have to say i didnt enjoy the ct scan today… the contrast drink was rather unpleasant!! lol, and the feeling of wetting myself was very strange…kept thinking ‘what if i am really wetting myself’ haha…had to check when i sat up

Hi lucy waiting is the worst as you know when i was diagnosed with breast cancer i did every screening and scanning b4 i started my treatment i finished my rads on tues will i have to do all this again only see my onc in feb
