So brief history, diagnosed Tnbc June 25, refused chemo for personal reasons, lumpectomy July 25, radiotherapy September 25, 5 full breast, 4 tumour bed. All great until feb 26, swollen, tender, rock hard. Had ultra sound April 26, all good, late effects of radiotherapy and scar tissue. Had first mammogram yesterday ouch!! Get results 3-4 weeks , feel good apart from the radiation fibrosis which I am told could be forever. You do get used to it and you do remember to hold your boob when you sneeze or cough, ok in the house, not so good in public
. Onwards and upwards
I too jad the lumpectomy on the very left side of breast. Called axilla area. No chemo, 20 rounds of radiation. The after effects were weird. Got more freckles on chest. Lost 50 % of my left eye oil sacs. Never knew i had those. Just knew my vision was off and eyes were very dry. Now I just need to use a heated face mask once or twice a day, but really warm washcloth works in a pinch. As far as the hardening, I bout a compression bra and a very simple compression silicone pad off amazon. I can use the pad with any bra. Helps a lot. Gentle massage when I sit and watch the tv. Good luck. Hello from Florida USA.
