So I’m gonna have a moan, when we go to the hospital my husband is all sad and worried, when were at home he keeps busy and out of my way a lot, now he’s just had a massive go at me because he wants to have someone else care for my gran and do the jobs I do for her, my jobs include taking her shopping round once a week and then every couple of weeks doing her laundry, my mum is going to do her laundry and I intend on still going to see her each week, she only lives down the road. The Carers have my number and if they can’t get me they ring my dad. He’s just seems mad with me now, and I can’t be bothered to argue with him, I don’t want to waste my time.
Sounds like he is having a hard time dealing with it himself. I know its us ladies who have this terrible thing but it must be hard for the partners/husbands too. Generally, when someone is bottling things up, they end up lashing out, don’t they? A heart to heart would probably help but it takes one person to come forward and start it!

He sounds worried about you, that you are doing too much and that you need to concentrate on yourself. My friends keep telling me to stop thinking about other people and concentrate on me, hard to do if you are used to helping others.
I actually find keeping busy right now a help, it makes the time go quicker in between waiting for results and appointments and helps me sleep at night.

My wife always says that you can tell when she is going for a hospital appointment, because I become a right moody sod, (I can see myself doing it), I do try now honestly, in a nutshell it is just simply worry and people show their fears in different ways, to me to be told the girl of my dreams my life my best friend had a potentially fatal illness was the worst possible news and I would have swapped with her in a heartbeat, she is currently waiting to go and have a reconstruction, and i am frightened to death, but i am doing my best not to show it and not being a moody sod, I am sure your fella is the same,
I’m sure your right, he is a me fix it and does anything for anyone. I hope your wife’s ok and she know all those lovely things you’ve said about her. X
