Hi all,
Has anyone tried IPL laser hair removal since being on AIs? Did it work? Have you had any re-growth?
I’ve been on Letrozole for a year and could seriously give any chaps a run for their money growing a beard or moustache
My tweezers see action at least twice a day and epilator about once a month as it bloody hurts
I’ve a mix of peachy face fuzz all over and stubborn, thick, dark (or white, just to mix it up a bit) ones that as soon as I tweeze seem to grow straight back. Little sods.
It’s driving me mad, I’m checking my face several times a day, am so paranoid about missing one and finding a long one looped in an awkward spot like I found on my neck a while back
I’ve found a local salon, checked all the reviews etc (all good), and am finger over the button to book a consultation but thought I’d check in with you wise lot first in case there are any words of wisdom on offer
Thank-you

I’m no longer on AI but I sympathise . I have electrolysis to my upper lip / jawline / neck. I occasionally pluck but my Beauty Therapist disapproves as she says that plucking or waxing makes the hair root bigger and the hairs grow back more strongly . Electrolysis does work- the hairs grow back finer / more slowly or not at all but I keep growing new ones ! A friend at work who isn’t on AI has had successful laser treatment to her legs and arms and now that she is older she is considering for her upper lip. It did take 8 sessions for her legs and arms so it was expensive at the time ( I think it was birthday money ) . Lip and chin should be less expensive and I don’t see why it wouldn’t work when on AI- I’m considering it myself . It won’t work on white hairs though. My Beauty Therapist is on AI - we both noticed that sometimes when she dyes her eyebrows or mine they don’t take very well so there definitely is something different when you’re on it though Xx
