I finally did it!

Hi everyone.
I was diagnosed with Grade 2 lobular cancer in 2021, which had spread to my lymph nodes. Nothing seemed to go smoothly, I went through surgical menopause and was diagnosed with polymyalgia.
Anyway I have now written a book! It’s about my journey and that of four other women who were also diagnosed over the past 30 years. I’m hoping it spreads some hope and positivity.
You can get the book through Amazon.
Its called ‘Tits, tears and triumph: My battle with breast cancer’

That’s what I’m hoping Tili. Even if it encourages someone who is worried to get checked or go for their mammogram then I will be happy. Julia xxx

Thank you so much for your lovely comment. xxx hope you enjoy the book. It always feels weird saying that considering the subject matter…but there are spatterings of humour and explanations for why some people act the way they do. I hope it validates some feelings and gives hope and positivity where needed. xxx Julia xxx

A little update…I love these stories.
I was asked to attend a cancer support group today, as someone who offers support and has turned something negative into a positive. I wrote a book, but I also make products for people going through cancer and menopause and sell them at artisan markets…I don’t take money out of it, I do it to help others as I was sick of being a cancer target for some when I was shopping online for natural creams, headcoverings etc and its a way of getting people to talk…its proven really useful for many…anyway…one of the ladies today had read my book and she said that above all it made her feel as though everything she was going through and felt was normal. I wish someone had validated my feelings when I was going through treatment. xxx
