I’d seen the hairdresser bit before at Christies but had forgotten about it until you mentioned it. Can they advise on suitable dyes to use etc? Do you know how expensive it is there and what sort of services they offer?
I made the appointment for a cut but didn’t ask the price. I think they charge the going rate - which is anywhere between £6 and probably £20, I don’t know - haven’t had a decent haircut in yonks. I’m assuming she’ll be able to advise on dyes etc, plus the cradle-cap. I’ll let you know how I go on. In fact, it’s getting on my nerves so much that I may phone back tomorrow and bring the appointment forward if she can fit me in. I live in Stockport so it’s only 20 mins or so after the rush-hour traffic’s gone.
Thanks Granny scouse - I’d walked past it a few times but there was never anyone there. I’d asked also about the Look Good Feel Better (fancied some free make-up!) but they weren’t doing it in December. I might ask again when I know my radio dates although would feel a bit guilty about my dh or my parents sat around whilst I primp and preen myself!
Only come on here every few days now, not like earlier when it was a feww times a day.
My hair is yuk grey, curly, coarse and stands on end. My hairdresser gets the thinning scissors on it and keeps it very short. It doesn’t look too bad. I coloured it ages ago with a wash in wash out colour and it went pinky orange. Takes colours better now.

I went to breast clinic on Monday and I met someone who I used to see at chemo sessions. Whilst she had a lot of hair on her head, her eyebrows and lashes had not returned. She had 4 FEC and 4 Taxotere. We both finished chemo March/April 2007. I know it’s not as drastic as your situation but as you say perhaps it’s more common than the drug company is letting on, as lack of eyebrows is less of a problem than lack of hair.
