I have an appointment on biopsy result next week, however

I just went to the app to confirm my appointment, there is a questionnaire to ask my family history like, blood pressure, stroke, heart disease, etc. for the consulting purpose. Is that everyone needs to fill this in before getting the final results, please? Or does that mean there is something on my report and they need these information to see any potential illness I would have and adjust my treatment plan?

Please help, I am really worried about that. :face_with_peeking_eye:

Dear Louisa2, thinking of you, this is such an anxious time, these form’s are nothing to worry about just general information about you so please don’t overthink this, when we are first diagnosed we intend to worry about everything, this is very normal.

Hope your appointment goes well next week, fingers crossed for a good outcome, please come back and let us know how you’re getting on.

Wishing you love and strength Tili :rainbow::folded_hands::rainbow::folded_hands:

Hi Tili, really thank you for your reply. I really worried when I saw this form! Plus, today is the day that my name is on MDT meeting to discuss my case, then I received the call for appointment after few hours of MDT meeting, that was toooo quick, and it just like I have some serious problem, so the team rang me that quick?? My appointment is on next Wednesday, I cannot eat and do anything since I listened the call.

My dear louise2 I will be thinking of you next Wednesday, please take a notepad to scribble down any notes that maybe useful to you.

Tomorrow, hopeful you will feel a bit better, please try and have a walk in the park regardless of the weather or maybe a coffee with that special friend. Also you need to eat a little as you need to keep your strength up.

Have a restful evening, hugs Tili :rainbow::folded_hands::rainbow::folded_hands:

Thanks Tili, I will definitely update in here when I have the results. From I started to see GP to my coming appointment, it has been nearly a month, my mental health is really bad during this period. :face_with_bags_under_eyes: I hope I could get some good news next week to cheer up myself…though I know it is a bit optimistic.

Sorry… I haven’t really got the hang of this forum yet! I just wanted to say I had a phone call once, I’m pretty sure it was after the MDT meeting. The nurse told me to come in but wasn’t giving any clues away. After a long bus journey, and walk, I got to the appointment to be told the good news that all was normal. So I think sometimes it just happens this way, but my mind went into overdrive.

Hi Sue, thank you for thinking of me. I have got my results and it was not cancer, thanks God :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: !!! There were few issues I need to follow up and have the surgery later, however, it was definitely a good news and I could finally have a good sleep.

I could really say: please stop googling - to those ladies who are waiting for results. I have googled 100 times in what if, my symptoms, it came out all scary things and you thought - I must have cancer, but actually not! Though the symptoms can be similar, but the final outcomes that I have got were something that I never found while I was googling.

I hope all of you stay healthy. I will still in this forum, this forum helped me a lot in my sleepless days! I got so many encouragements from some kind ladies, which I will never forget. I am now more concerns of my health, and I hope I will never go through such situation, this is really a painful journey!!

Louisa that is great news, I’m so pleased for you. I hope the other problems you have are nothing serious and you are well.

You are so right about Dr Google, I had lobular breast cancer In 2018 and I know how tempting it is to take a look on Google, I avoided it but then felt I wasn’t very knowledgeable about my cancer as I wasn’t told too much by the surgeon really.

I now find myself worrying again unfortunately so I’m avoiding Dr Google again but it is a good idea to search on this website with all it’s useful information.

Going forward, I wish you a very healthy life and hope you don’t find yourself on here worrying again, we all know how that feels.

Take care

Sue x

I am spending far too much time on Google. I need to try to break the habit, but it’s hard

It is easy to fall down a google hole. Try putting the device you use to google out of reach. That way when you go to grab it without thinking and it’s not there, it will remind you why you moved it out of reach :heart:

Thank you both. I’ve found that doing jigsaws on my phone is really helping occupy just enough of my brain to stop me overthinking . Was less happy with my lucky dip magazine this month which was “the death issue” of a magazine I’d never heard of and won’t be buying . I got my husband to put it in the recycling before I’d got beyond the index which was full of trigger warnings.
