I have secondary breast cancer now worried about breathing

Hi everyone

I am new to this.  But wanted some advise.

I was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in December 2012, as it has spread to my lymph nodes in my neck and also in my sternum.

I’ve just had a ct scan and now waiting for the results.  Not worried about them, because everything has been stable so far.  However, since Friday I am finding it difficult to breathe.  I have had a cough since the beginning of January, which seemed to clear up, but still getting a lot of phlem which is difficult to clear (sorry for sharing that with you).  I’m just worried that there could be an underlying problem. My doctor said that there is no sign of a chest infection and no infection in my throat.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Anita

Hi,Anita, sorry to hear you are having problems but you came to the right place for support and help. I can’t give you any real advice but one of the lovely ladies on here will probably be able to.
It may just be your lungs getting rid of left over ‘stuff’ from your cough or it may be a treatment you are on .i think it’s the EE combo that can cause fluid on lungs I think.
I hope all goes well with your CT scan and huge hug to you,Helen xxxx

Thank you for you reply Helen

Normally I don’t worry about things like this but I just don’t feel right.

I’m on tamoxifen denosomab and zoladex.
