I have wrote 2 long replies tonight

I have wrote 2 long replies tonight and both of them have just dissappeared when I press amend to correct any spelling mistakes.Whats going on?I really can not be bothered to keep typing the same thing out twice or three times over and this is not the first night its happened.Am I writing something thats not allowed,I dont think I am but you never know.
