Just had a travel insurance quote,
The "nice"man asked if I had any pre existing medical conditions and I said “yes”
He then asked if my condition was terminal GRRR dont you just hate that word!!!
I said “yes” as I have lung mets.
He then said "How long have you got left? I said PARDON!!!I haven`t a clue, at this stage nobody knows. He then said "they must have given you some idea!!by this time I was in floods.
I am planning on going nowhere but Tenerife for a very long time!!
Thank goodness for Insure pink and Mia on line both companies went through screening with great professionalism and caring. I went for Insure Pink.

Hi! just read yr post and can’t believe he said that to you! I would write a very strong letter of complaint and suggest they do some training with their staff!

How outrageous, write a strong letter of complaint and shame this man to his superiors. If he is so ignorant and insensitive he shouldn’t be doing that job. I suffered similar episode in Tesco pharmacy, just trying to buy 16 paracetamol, also ended in floods.

I am a primary but when I rang my famous insurance company to tell them i have bc (i payed a yearly premium) “Are you terminal” was the first thing i was asked too. I think they read from a set of questions and dont actually think about the person they are talking to. I found it so bizarre, i laughed and said “I hope not.” Not much else i could say really. I was informed quite bluntly and in a letter that they could not longer offer me full holiday insurance.

How awful, they don’t do “customer relations” do they! What an awful thing to say and in your letter I would suggest a re training on sensitivity and compassion.

OMG! He is a prize prat! Hope that call was recorded like they say they are. Phone again and complain, if you have the energy to that is.
