I’m new to this site but I have been driving myself insane and need an outlet. I’m 25 years old.
So about 8 weeks ago my left breast suddenly got bigger than the other, I tracked it through a period and nope still big, also feels heavier and denser than the other breast and painful. At first gp put me on antibiotics and then anti inflammatories, but in the last few days I have had tingling sensation in the nipple and it has become flat. She has now referred me to the breast clinic. My appointment isn’t for two weeks unfortunately (!!) but I have absolutely convinced myself it’s IBC. If anyone can please offer me any advice or support I would be very grateful.
Hi it’s really difficult not to get really anxious when you have such worrying symptoms but the vast majority of retrials to the breast clinic turn out not to be anything to worry about and hopefully you will be the same .If you do get diagnosed there is lots of advice and support in this site.Let us know how you get on.Jill.

I was seen urgently today as I was so anxious and I’m pleased to say that exam and ultrasound showed no evidence of cancer. The surgeon promised me it wasn’t IBC and said my nipple and breast could be swollen for a number of reasons and has advised evening primrose oil. I wish everyone else the very best with their journey and I hope this post shows that even worrying symptoms can turn out to be nothing! Keep strong!! Xxx
