Hello wonder if you wonderful women can offer your thoughts . I am 46 and am spending a sleepless night worrying . my left Breast has been feeling heavy for a while but haven’t given it much thought . But this evening have had terrible itching , burning pain in left nipple . Looked in mirror and shocked to see a little black spot - possibly blood blister on tip of left nipple . The other odd thing is my breasts looked moreorless the same size when all my life my right breast has been bigger . I have lots of health problems and seem to be at the gp every week so don’t want to bother them if it’s unnecessary . The skin looks normal it’s just the pain , size and spot on nipple that concerns me . Could it be an insect bite ?
Hi Sebbie, don’t ever worry about bothering the Drs, get yourself checked out as soon as possible for your peace of mind otherwise you will be having many more sleepless nights worrying, the chances are it will be nothing serious but if it is it needs dealing with so the quicker you find out the better Xxx Jo
Please my advice is if you haven’t already go to your doctor and get it checked out. They may diagnose mastitis however if you feel this is something more sinister ask to be referred to breast clinic for a biopsy. The earlier you get this checked out the better. Have you any swelling under your arm? The radiographer said it looked like mastitis on my breast but because I had cancer on right breast he did biopsy on breast and lump under arm which confirmed it was malignant. I could easily come away from that appointment thinking I had mastitis.
