Hi Everyone, I found a prominent lump under left armpit while in shower around 3 months ago. I left it around 1 month before going to GP, as I thought maybe it was nothing as im 32. When I went to DR she said its most likely nothing (after umming and arring over it) she told me to keep an eye on it. My mum bless her kept on at me, as her 2 sisters had breast cancer, So 4 weeks after that I went back to my GP as it was vey much still there and wider. Had a different doctor this time, he read previous notes, has a feel, said oh yes I think its just a cyst/fluid sack as its very close to the surface, come back in 6 weeks. That was 4 weeks ago now, and its still very much there. Im not one to go to the doctors, I work in healthcare so I know the stretches of the NHS etc. But I have a gut feeling about this, i feel very crap. My question is… how long should a ‘lump to not worry about’ last??

Hi Lulu,
I’m just thinking that they should at least give you an ultrasound scan just to be safe. I would push for it if I were you. Good luck.
I have my appointment at the breast clinic next monday morning lump still very much there, and now a dimple in armpit where the lump is, can a dimple be caused by a cyst??
Hello I noticed a lump under my left arm pit with a dimple over it as well. The lump is hard. I am currently nursing and wanted to know what was your outcome?
Its so strange if you gave your family history to gp , he still took so long to refer you. We never know whats what until we have it checked properly. Dont get anxious but thats something should be cared about. I hope all goes well for you. Tc
