Im only 25, im not sure i want to find out if it is what it is. i have this aches in the right side of my breast. it twinges into the underarm now and again. when its at its most painful my breathing becomes slightly uneasy and i have to sit down. i get shooting twinges which makes me want to itch from the inside and when i get that feeling i just want to cry. im so frightened i don’t no what to do.
Dear Watkin
I really feel for you and for what you are going through. Have you told anybody about this? I completely understand that you don’t want to find out what this is and most likely it’s nothing serious. I have recently found out that your mind can really trick you into believing the worst - it’s a very powerful thing and along with that comes complete and utter panic - where you just don’t know what to do and almost don’t want to do anything about it or know.
I recently told some friends about my worries and between them, they took it upon themselves to get me sorted out once and for all and you know what, even though I’m still scared, I feel a bit more relieved and I don’t feel so on my own. It’s really hard to tell somebody but for me, it worked. I buried my head in the sand for ages first though and made myself feel really really ill over it all. Actually now I feel much calmer, I don’t feel ill at all. Please go and speak to somebody who you trust and think will be supportive and also get an appointment with your GP to explain what’s been going on and how you are feeling.
Sending you lots of hugs and please let me know how you get on.

Dear Watkin,
Please reassure yourself by having a check up with your doctor, it cd be anything but the worry is what drains you more than anything.
Don’t leave it any longer. have you got a good doctor? maybe you cd see a nurse at your surgery if your not feeling confident but please do find out what is wrong sooner rather than later.
Keep in touch, wishing you a healthy outcome
xx
Hi
Sorry to hear of your recent troubles.
Please, please go to the doctor’s and get yourself checked. The odds are that all will be fine- 8/10 breast lumps are fine so the odds are in your favour. There’s a huge variety of things it could be but you will drive yourself mad with worry if you don’t get it checked out.
When I found my lump I was extremely scared and worried too. There are loads of people on here who will help and support you with your anxieties.
I’m sure things will be fine,
Take care

Get it checked out.The nurse at your surgery would be a good place to start, but you really need to be checked. If it’s nothing to worry about, then it will set your mind at rest…and if it IS something that needs dealing with, then the sooner you are seen, the better your chances. Please make an appointment today…
hi watkins,
i’m just adding my encouragment along with everyone else to go and see someone. do you have a close friend or family member to go with you? you really need to get this off your chest and find some peace, i expect your not sleeping well etc. you really will feel better when you have taken a step forward to resolve this one way or another. deep breath count to 10 and make the call to the drs… now,
sending you all the courage i can thru’ cyber space,
lenny
Please get it checked. I’m the worlds biggest coward but truly there in nothing worse than the not knowing. get it checked - it may be nothing or something that can be fixed.

Adding my support to the others. Most breast problems are fairly simple and don’t amount to much. But I can’t say strongly enough that the stress and worry can wreak havoc with your health. Please do get it checked out. I’m sure you’ll be fine. As one of the others said, the mind is a very powerful thing and your imagination will get the better of you if you don’t. Whatever the outcome you will cope. Fingers toes and everything else crossed that you don’t have to join this club.
Dear Watkin,
i watch out for an update from you all the time worrying about you. please do let us know how you are doing.
xx
Me too. Please let us know how you are.
