im very recent diagnosis

i found out 2 weeks ago chemo started yesterday i now admit im scared im 34 n live on my own

Morning coral1989,

They don’t hang about do they. No wonder we all get scared.

You are in the right place for support from others on line. I believe there is a section for younger people too. I would have been there 22 years ago when I had bc at age 29. Surgery, radio and chemo.

You say you live alone but do you have a good close friend or network of friends. If so make use of them. Good friends will want to help.

And I’m sure a bcc moderator will be along with a link to other useful sections for younger people.

Keep in touch.

Hi coral1980

Welcome to the BCC Forum where I’m sure you will find a lot of support from fellow members.

As Judith said there is a section on the forum for Younger people.  I’ve attached a link:

forum.breastcancercare.org.uk/t5/Younger-women-and-families/bd-p/4449

You might also find it helpful to join the thread started by members beginning their chemo in the same month as each other.  I’ll attach a link to the March 2015 group

forum.breastcancercare.org.uk/t5/Chemotherapy-monthly-threads/starting-chemo-March-2015/td-p/925634

As well as the support to be found on the forum you could also phone our Helpline.  The opening times are 9-5 on weekdays and 10-2 on Saturdays.  The number is 0808 800 6000

Very best wishes

Janet
