Implant replacement after capsular hardening

Hi,

I had an immediate reconstruction following a mastectomy in 2014 which was very successful for 2 years. The silicone implant has now hardened, I had radiotherapy and cellulitus after surgery which will have caused the hardening. My surgeon has offered to replace the implant but first I will need lipofilling as the breast skin is very thin. Has anyone been through this surgery? I don’t know whether to put up with a hard breast or have the surgery.

Thanks for any advice

Hi Nick ,can’t help as I don’t have similar experience but just bumping this up for you so hopefully someone will able to help .Fingers crossed you get it sorted .Jill.
