Hi, I had a mastectomy with implant last year but following radiotherapy I developed capsular contractor. I’m due to have surgery this week to replace my rock hard very sore implant. Has anyone had this and can offer any advice for recovery as I’m thinking it will be a walk in the park compared to my last op and might need to manage my expectations somewhat and prepare. Thanks
Dear Hetty,
So pleased you have come to the forum, I did have a Capsular and needed to have surgery to replace my implant, what a relief this was for me, much more comfortable a few days after surgery. You will need to take care for a couple of weeks (every one is different) some get over operation quicker than other.
So my brave lady one day at a time with lots of TLC and treats as you deserve the best after what we go through.
Wishing you well going forward. Biggest hugs Tili

I know this post is old but I have a few symptoms and think I may have this - could you share your symptoms? X
@suzy72 how are you, understanding you must be have a few problems.
I’m thinking you have had a reconstruction which has gone hard and needs replacing, this can cause pain and discomfort. Contact your breast cancer team they will see you and offer the best advise.
Wishing you well, going forward
