Implant + symmetry surgery

Hello everyone
I am 2 days post implant and symmetry surgery (and SNB) for large high grade DCIS.
I am managing pain ok but due to back issues find getting comfortable very difficult.
Both breasts also seem to be very high and far apart - hoping this is to be expected and things will settle. Implant also has a lump that gets bigger when I bend - like the edge of the implant? Wondering if anyone is undergoing similar and/or has tips.

Hello !
You’ve been through a lot of surgery and everything will settle down and find its place - I remember feeling quite overwhelmed when I had a first look post my reconstruction surgery with an implant and my symmetry surgery.
I was also diagnosed with high grade DCIS two years ago. It took a few months for everything to find its place so try not to be too alarmed or worried about how it’ll all eventually look. The implant slight bulge I noticed at the top early days eventually disappeared and the surgery to the other breast began to calm and settle too.
I agree sleeping on your back takes some getting used to if you’re not a back sleeper … some ladies swear by mastectomy pillows I hear.
Well done on getting to this point though … be kind to yourself, rest up and let your body do the healing. It’s still very early days for you

I also am curious to know how long it takes for implant to settle.
I am 4 weeks mastectomy and immediate implant recon and feel like implant is still stuck on, doesn’t move, can often see ‘patterns’ at top of implant and a lot of maybe fluid underneath scar.
I am anxious as start radiotherapy in 10 days and worried about capsular contracture in particular.
Does anyone have experience of this? How was implant before radiotherapy started?

My implant has definitely settled a little and in a bra looks absolutely fab.
Very much early days for us both.
Get lots of rest xx

Thank you so much for your message and support - reassuring to hear things will calm down!

Thank you @stillsmiling2025
I hope things do improve day by day!
