Infection in mastectomy reconstruction incision

Hi

5 weeks in I have to go in to theatre again tomorrow as there is an infection after a seromas build up around incision area and surgeon concerned it could be underneath scar as well and doesn’t want to have implant infected so going in to clean area and restitch to heal faster

omg here I go again in this whirlwind of cancer

Dear Elizabeth

Thinking of you, and wishing you lots of luck with your surgery I was in this situation a few years ago, hopefully you will feel more comfortable after they clean up the area. 

Take good care, rest and drink lots of water.
