Inflammatory breast cancer

Hiya, I hope I’m able to be in this group, if I’m not, I’m so sorry and please delete.
  But here goes,
Iv been googling my symptoms and Iv scared my self senseless.
Iv had left breast pain for 3 weeks, came on suddenly, was the back of breast at first and now it in the outside of my left breast and armpit. I went to doctors 10 days ago, she we gave me antibiotics and said it was probably from having covid 3 weeks before. As my cough was also worse. Last Monday I was in pain with side of breast, burning sensation in back and bad heartburn. I though I coukd be having a heart attack so I took myself off to a and e. They did bloods chest X-ray and ecg. All came up clear. They said I could have pulled myself coughing. The pain is not easing at all, last night it kept me awake and was pulsating. I just googled “pain in breast” and inflammatory breast cancer came up. I’m terrified. Am I over reacting or should I get this checked Asap.
I had my routine mammogram last Thursday

@chelbell1  - first of all a big welcome to this forum. This forum/group is open to anyone, whether diagnosed, waiting for results or scared they might have BC, or indeed for anyone looking for information or support. I’m sorry you find yourself on here and really hope your stay will be a short one, and that you will find an alternative reason, and cure, for your pain.

I’m not medical so I am not going to even try to guess what could be causing your pain, but it could be many reasons. Your GP and A&E have both checked you and don’t appear concerned, but you know your own body and you know what feels right or what feels new and wrong. You have done the right thing seeking advice, and if I were in your position I would speak again to my GP because the pain hasn’t eased. I would want reassurance and to find out what is causing the pain. You are not overreacting.

However, in the meantime, my advice to you would be to try very hard to stay away from Dr Google - he really doesn’t know you or your situation and top searches for almost any symptoms seem to lead to something scary. Out of curiosity I have just done a google search of chest pain and a whole long list of possibilities has come up, but with the advice that chest pains should always be checked out.

You could also call the lovely nurses on this forum tomorrow morning - their number is at the top of this page - 08088006000. Or you can send them a message via this forum if you prefer to write rather than call.

Please keep in touch and let us know what you do and how you get on. We are also here to listen and chat to you while you wait for advice, please use the forum as much or as little as helps you. Sending you big hugs, Evie xx
