I really need help. I was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer two years ago . It spreads to the bone, I was 39 years old,when I was v37 weeks pregnant . I started with tamoxifen and then amblciben and letrozol it’s stopped working after 20 months.
Then they gave me the chemotherapy pixtaol but it did not work. I am on the capecitabine 4 in the morning and 4 in the evening 2000
The nausea is my main issue also I feel hungry all the time I feel I am the only one with this type of cancer it’s er+ her negative
Firstly, I hope you and your baby is ok. How awful it must have been for you to be diagnosed with breast cancer and pregnant.
I am not quite in the same position as you as I am older. My first cancer (Er and Pr + and Her -) was when I was 47 and I am now in my 70s. The cancer spread to my chest wall and a rib and sternum. It was probably growing for about 9 years before being diagnosed according to my oncologist. I have been on a few treatments for it - Letrazole and Palbociclib (stopped working earlier this year), then Capivasertib and Fulvestrant (caused a bad rash - no one knows what it is but I am waiting for the results of a biopsy but have been take off this combination) and am now waiting to see what the next treatment will be. Capecitabine or Everolimus have been mentioned and I see my oncologist this week to discuss.
There are quite a few treatments for secondary breast cancer and new treatments always in the pipeline. I wish you all the best on this journey. Sending hugs to you.
Thank you so much for your response. My first biopsy when i was diagnosed was er and or+ and her negative Please. Because the first treatment stopped working I had another biopsy two months ago and it’s er+ 7/8

Mine is now inoperable and incurable so the treatment is buying me time. I appeared to be clear for about 23 years, but although I had regular mammograms I did not have any full body scans so the secondary cancer was found late. (It was misdiagnosed and dismissed as just my rib on an ultrasound a year before it actually diagnosed by biopsy.) It was originally Invasive ductal carcinoma and there were five tumours of different sizes. It had spread to 2 of the lymph nodes although 13 were removed. I hope the capecitabine works for you and may be on it myself soon.
I am going to suggest the below site. Tons of MBC patients from all over the world visit it so you’ll be able to get treatment advice and just basic solidarity. I am so sorry you are going through this but there is hope.
