Hi in Nov 22 I was diagnosed with grade 3 invasive Er&Pr but negative HER2 breast cancer this comes 18months after having a mammogram. They are saying it’s interval cancer. The tumour is 2.6mm I had a lumpectomy 12days ago (a day after my 50 birthday ) along with a sentinel node biopsy. Any one on here with a similar story
Welcome to this horrible club that none of us want to be in but yet still has the best company. Anyway I was diagnosed last year with a grade 3 ER/PR breast tumor. It’s not been fun, I don’t recommend it for anyone, but at the same time if you have to go through it, it’s very doable. I’m now on the tail end of my active treatment and just had my reconstruction last week. Feel free to ask any questions, or just want to vent, or scream. We all understand.
Hi, I was diagnosed last June at 58 between mammograms ( 2 years after my last one) with a 12mm ER/PR positive, HER 2 negative grade 3 invasive ductal tumour. I had a lumpectomy which went well although the tumour was close to chest wall. Thankfully my sentinel nodes were clear and the oncotype came back low enough that I didn’t need chemo. I had 10 days of radiotherapy and now on letrozole for 10 years. As Kay said, please ask if any questions xx
I was diagnosed June 2022 with 3.1cm invasive ductal carcinoma grade 3 er positive her negative. Had lumpectomy and full node clearance- one positive node. Last infusion of Fec T chemotherapy next week then radiotherapy intensive for 5 days, Abemaciclib for 2 years and letrozole for 10 years. Luckily I have found chemo a very manageable. Please feel free to ask any questions.
I also had an interval BC diagnosis 11 months after a screening mammogram gave me the all clear. Grade 2 ER/PR positive. HER2 negative. Thankfully the tumour was small at 8mm with clear glands. I’ve had breast conserving surgery and radiotherapy and I’ve started Anastrozole too. It’s not a lot of fun but I’m feeling better as time goes on. The feelings of wellbeing and then ‘not so well’ seem to come in waves. I’m exercising and going to the gym and that seems to help.
