Iron levels while on tamoxifen

Hi there

I wondered if people have regular blood tests while on tamoxifen? I have been taking it for almost a year now and had no tests until this week as I mentioned I was feeling tired, which I know is a side effect of tamoxifen as well as the radiotherapy treatment which fin in August., my blood results showed that I have high levels of iron and glucose, so am to back in 6 weeks for a fasting blood test to see what is causing it. I suspect the tamoxifen and wondered if anyone else had experience of this?  Also waiting for results of annual mammogram, 8 weeks! I thought the waiting was over once I’d finished treatment…!

Whilst Tamoxifen can produce in users a range of side effects, I hope your fasting blood test will highlight what’s going on.
