Is anyone else eating like a horse ?

2am and i had to get up! Ive just polished off 2 pink ladies apples, 3 satsumas and a bowl of rice crispies!

Im a healthy 9 stone at 5,2 but i have noticed with the Tax im retaining water the second week after so need to watch me salt cravings…

Ladies my new fave munchie food is everything is a crusty cob…the normal fillings and then super noodles, crisps (esp quavers) chili…i just pile the left over from meals in the week in the cob and off i go.

Yeah heard that most of the the time you think you’re hungry its thurst but believe me no glass of anything wet is satisfying me like a Supernoodle bap!

Night night

I’ve never got my head round that hungy / thirsty thing. How can a glass of water possibly replace a midnight [or 2am] fridge raid for goodness sake.

Dunno AJ - you can’t chew water!!!

so you mean the fact that I am dying to delve into my Bakers semi-sweet chocolate baking cubes even though I know its pretty desperate is not totally off the wall?

nice to know. now that I found a farmer’s market (all local, fresh fruit and vegetables - not sure what they call them where you may be) am on a schedule of eating every 3 hours but alternating with small meals and vegetables or fruit. Lots of water…but no longer from bottles. Filtered tap water and juice of one lemon or a lime.

the chocolate is still calling me.

answer the call Emily - answer the call - it’s rude to ignore a polite and persistent caller! lol

Past 1am and quickly peeking here for the first time in a few days… M-L I too am gobsmacked and hugely impressed. Roast pork with everything at 7pm, have only had two large glasses of fizzy mineral water since then so understandably ravenous by now and have just hit the kitchen to finish off the strawberries, obviously had to finish the cream with them, then remembered there was ice cream so went for the toffee fudge but only two mouthfuls in the tub, so checked the vanilla and finished that too… seething with fury that the kids had finished the meringues… last night we had sausages and mash, big, local, free-range pork sausages, of the ‘bet you can’t eat 3’ variety. I ate 3, followed by half a family pack of sea salt and cracked black pepper crisps and 3/4 of a jar of cool chive and sour cream dip. I don’t even like crisps. But I followed them with organic yogurt and a banana and my daily fix of manuka honey, so all ok.

Here sits a bloated fat grub, contemplating going back to the kitchen for hot chocolate… 'night all. Lyn xxxxx

Hi, ladies,

I’ve told my OH I’m going to turn into a Telly Tubby if i don’t start cutting back on the crisps. I’ve developed a craving for salt, like many of you. Must be a side effect, as I usually prefer sweet things for snacks. The figures on the weighing scales are creeping up and up, after losing weight for a week after first fec. Oh well, like you say it’s nice to have something to enjoy to help us get through this. Am trying to eat plenty of fruit and veg to balance it out, as don’t want to look any more pasty than I already do!! Have started to smother all the savoury things with a lovely creamy, salty salad dressing I’ve found. Yum,yum. Tomato sauce a strong contender in 2nd place! And, yes, Lyn,make me a hot chocolate while you’re there…four spoons, please! Ah! Thanks. mmmm…

I can almost hear the munching from here, ladies! Slugs united!
God bless,
Ann

Eaten much less today, don’t know why, but have developed a new passion for lemon barley water, which I haven’t drunk for about 25 years. Will be up and down to the bathroom all night, but if it stops the munchies it’s worth it!

Have also decided (after 17 years in this house) that it’s time I grew something outside, other than the plums and apples which mainly feed the wasps, and since the weekend we now have pots of herbs, and tomatoes, salad and other veg growing in containers and baskets - am definitely not up to digging - and I ate just one lollo rosso leaf picked from the patio… rarely enthusiastic about bought salads, I can’t wait for them to grow big enough for a meal, and hope to raise it all from seed next year… also getting hens again after a long break (plenty of eggs then for the meringue binges!) and later in the year will have lamb from the neighbours, and pork from another friend.

Now, does anyone know how to grow free-range chocolate??!!!

Lyn (away to the kitchen for more lemon…)
