hi i discovered a red swelling in upper arrm near armpit and is sore to touch , arm felt sore last few days should i contact out of hours doctors as it is saturday or wait until monday and see my GP … ??

Lymphodema is not normally sore to begin with, it usually shows as fluid retention some people do get pain with it but usually down the line when its built up, also redness is not normally common only in the breast area, not heard of it on arm before but someone else may have experienced this so hopefully others may be along soon, does not sound like lymphodema to me but i would get it checked out incase you have a bite or infection etc
