Hi ladies. I’ve just received a letter from my onc asking to see me in May - six months after I finished treatment in December 2007. Is this usual practice? I’m confused, as my consultant wants to see me on the 20th - quite a lot sooner. I’d be grateful for any advice.

When you say consultant do you mean your surgeon?. If so that was the same for me. So sounds OK

I seen my onc after my treatment finished and then every six months for five years.My surgeon I seen at BC clinic three months later and then every six months for two years. So I was seeing someone every three months for first two years. I now go to the BC clinic just for yearly mammogram/checkup and this will continue for seven years.Think everyones different depending on tumour grade,hormone status,.treatment,prognosis etc.
think i will be seeing the onc every six months, and the surgeon as and when
