Is this 'orange peel skin' or am I being paranoid?

So, I’m only 20 years old. I check my breasts regularly. I found 2 small painless lumps and a harder area of tissue (compared to rest of breast)- on my right side. I went to see my GP and she felt the same area stright away without me even saying. She said because I’m so young, it’s much less likely to be cancer, but as it feels so different, I was given an appointment within two weeks for a scan. My scan is on Wednesday. I’ve now noticed what looks like orange peel skin in the same area where my breast has changed. Thoughts? Or am I worrying over nothing<li-image width=“999” height=“882” alt=“20190311_083530~2.jpg” align=“center” id=“6699i910E3BAC0A986862” size=“large” sourcetype=“new”></li-image>

hi daisy,

It’s not really possible to say what it is. The most important thing is, you have done what you need to, to get it checked out. The chances of it being bc would be incredibly rare in someone of your age & there’s most likely to be a far more common reason behind thre breast change.

Obviously a lot easier said than done, but just try not to dwell on it prior to your appointment & best to avoid google as you won’t find the answer & it only makes any anxiety worse.
