I have recently come off Letrosole after a month having had serious side effects and am being prescribed Tamoxifen as it works in a different way to the 3 aromatase inhibitors. I would like to know how well you got on with it and were there any or many side effects that you experienced.
I only started on Tamoxifen in September. Side effects so far are basically menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats and low mood. I’m on ovarian suppression as well though, so many of those symptoms could be ascribed to that.
The only tamoxifen specific symptom I’ve had is increased vaginal discharge. Not massively problematic though.

I took tamoxifen for 9.5 years and the main side effect was hot flushes which I was prescribed 10mg of citalopram to reduce. If you get lots of side effects that are unmanageable try getting a different brand as I was dispensed a different brand about 2 years in and had appalling side effects and the gp gave me a new prescription with the brand I had been taking successfully named so I stuck with that and was fine!
