Its time...! I think. To take control or not?

Ah Mary, apologies, but you really did make me giggle - so far, now, I have heard our hair loss being compared to the “how very dare you” gentleman on the Katherine Tate Show and now the professor from Back to the Future. I’m sure there are other allusions too. Glad to hear that it is re-growing. I’ve noticed that I’ve had to stop myself from picking up a hairbrush periodically - the thought of brushing my hair when I don’t have any hair to brush - I usually walk around at home without wearing a hat/wig - really sends shivers down my spine!

I would add to the list, Emily, Lyn - to laugh at every opportunity you can!

I did the same as you maryfrod when a huge clump of hair came out in my hand and i felt a heck of a site better for having taken control. yep i’m a control freak too. it does make me laugh that 2 months on I still automatically reach for the conditioner in the shower…

Breast cancer has made me a stronger person.

I’m living life much more for today than I used to and enjoying all the little things in life. I bought a lovely bunch of hyacinths the day of my last epi and they make me smile every time I look at them.

Lovely how we each have a different perspective and have learned different things from our BC. Yes, it is humbling, Pal, to see the sadness in my OH eyes as he tries to help me cope with each new side effect. There used to be alot of friction between my sister and me, but she calls me regularly now. She lives on the West coast and I am on the East coast.
Jen, I think you hit it right on. BC makes you stronger person. I guess the revers to that is that it can defeat you and break you if one allows it. No way with this group!!!
Namo - yes, laughing is important, it is really a therapy. Been trying to watch a funny movie each day. Do you all have TIVO? You can program tv shows/movies so TIVO records it and you can watch it at your leisure. So, been programming shows so there is a steady bank of funny shows.
Anyway, time to log into work and get that out of the way. Yet another blog about work.

I hope you have a great day, a wonderful Friday and an awesome weekend.

ooo

and having met Naz i can tell you that she is one stylish woman and looks great in head gear!! Great jewellery too!! 3 of us met up and probably appalled the people at the next table talking about how stuff is and we laughed a lot - but the place was empty and they could have sat anywhere else - it’s like you when you park the car and everyone comes and parks round you!!

the only thing i ever really miss regularly is soft cheese and pate on crusty bread - cheddar and tomato is JUST NOT THE SAME!

Hmmm no idea what a TIVO is so i guess we don’t have them in the UK! i end up watching a lot of CSI stuff… old movies, friends etc… i read when I’m not so dopy but was a no-brainer yesterday!! Brian will eb better tomoz so chins up dears!!!
